Creating your own personal cards to send to that someone special is an awesome way to say you care. Learn how to mix paints, basic techniques for painting on fabric. Mounting quilts onto blank cards for sending in the mail.

Cost per student including kit: $30.00 (minimum 3 students)

Student Kit includes:

  • Blank Card and envelope
  • Fabric (6” x 5”)
  • Batting (6” x 5”)
  • Paint brushes – Fan brush, 8 and/or 10 flat
  • Cup filled with water to clean your brushes
  • Pallet to mix paints in
  • Full set of instructions and template

Provided by Pam to share:

  • Acrylic paint – black, White, Green,Yellow, Red, Blue
  • Fabric Medium (bring different ones)
  • Iridescent paint
  • School Glue
  • Tooth picks
  • Twigs
  • Button Thread
  • Coordinating threads
  • Paper towels
  • Freezer Paper

Required supplies for students to bring:

  • X-acto knife with new,sharp blade
  • Fabric marking pen (I like Frixion pens)
  • Small/sharp scissors to cut appliqué pieces
  • Pencil
  • Note Pad
  • Fine tip Sharpie
  • Hand Sewing needle
  • Sewing Machine (in good working order)
  • Sewing Machine needles (size: 70 & 80)
  • Cutting Mat
  • Quilting Ruler
  • Rotary Cutter (new blade)
